Patient Policies
Fees & Payments
Initial consultations are free of charge unless the client decides to schedule regular sessions. Payments for individual sessions are made at the end of each session unless other arrangements are made. In special situations we offer sliding scale based on individual asset/income circumstances as approved by the Clinical Director.
Cancellations
To schedule an appointment requires a commitment from both patient and therapist. This means the appointment is specifically reserved and cannot be used by another patient. In order to cancel an appointment, a therapist must be notified 24 hours in advance of the session. If advance notice is not given, or rescheduling is not possible, the fee for the canceled appointment will be charged. In addition, not all holidays warrant a cancellation of appointments; even major holidays should be discussed with your therapist.
Course/Workshop Policies
Because space in our course/workshops is limited we rely on your attendance to make important arrangements and logistical preparations. Our participants are important to us and if for any reason you need to withdraw from a workshop that you have registered for, please notify us in writing (email chrisscott@villagecounseling.org) as soon as possible.
Payments & Cancellations
- Withdrawal more than 30 days prior to the start date of your workshop or in the case of an unforeseen emergency at any time, Village Counseling will refund all payments made.
- Withdrawal between 30 and 15 days prior to the start date of the workshop, Village Counseling will retain 50% of the workshop tuition.
- Withdrawal less than 7 days prior to the start date of the course/workshop will result in no refund.
Continuing Education Credits
CE credits are calculated on a credit per course hour basis.
